Retire the Legal Fees Party
Monday, March 25 at the Cycle Loft, 28 Cambridge Street, Burlington MA
Scott Jenney was arrested in the spring of 2001 and accused of "disorderly conduct" while riding his bicycle to work. After hearing the prosecution's case, the presiding judge dismissed the case outright. Jenney incurred legal fees of $5,000, and while it's time to celebrate, there are still the outstanding legal bills. Jenney's attorney has offered to donate to MassBike all the moneys raised at the party to be used in efforts in the areas of police education and Share the Road initiatives.
The suggested donation is $20 at the door, and there will be door prizes.
