Hyannis Port Challenge

Saturday May 20, 2000

Cycle through history on an amazing ride that takes you literally from the door of the JFK Library in Boston to the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port! Imagine--after crossing the finish line (a beautiful stretch of road running alongside the late Rose Kennedy?s home) you?ll ride down a gentle hill to the private West Beach Club where you?ll find a hot shower, a massage and your change of clothes. After you?ve relaxed at the club, you?ll walk along the beach to the legendary Kennedy lawn where you?ll join Greg LeMond, NFL stars such as Drew Bledsoe and Chris Slade, and Hollywood celebrities for a clambake and private Pointer Sisters concert!

The best part is that by being involved in THE cycling party of the year, you?ll also be supporting a very special organization. Funds raised will benefit Best Buddies International, an organization founded by Anthony K. Shriver to organize friendships and find jobs for people with mental retardation.

The fundraising minimum is $1500, but thanks to a special deal with Volvo, you can get a $200 fundraising credit by test-driving a Volvo. There is also a discount if you ride with a team. We also have a fundraising coach whose ideas will help you raise your money in no time!

Space is limited and there are about 30 spots left. If you're interested, you can find registration information at http://www.bestbuddies.org/hpchallenge/index.htm or just give us a call at 1-800-718-3536.

We also appreciate offers to volunteer along the route. Give us a call if you're interested!
