Bikes Not Bombs Invites You to Join the

benefit ride

Sunday, May 21, 1:30-5:30 p.m.

A fun and a fulfilling ride through the Boston area to celebrate the memory of Kahpreé Hodge, who died on December 22, 1999.

Kahpreé had committed much of his youthful life to community service at Bikes Not Bombs and elsewhere. We invite you to honor his life and ride with us.

The route will pass through places and neighborhoods where Kahpreé lived, worked and played. We will also visit the cemetery in Hyde Park where Kahpreé’s gravesite is located. The ride will be led by experienced cyclists and will total about 15 miles. A picnic lunch will be provided for riders.

Please collect pledges in memory of Kahpreé to award scholarships to two seniors at English High School who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their communities. The student awardees will be selected by a committee of staff and counselors at English High. See pledge form on reverse.

Meet at 1 pm at Bikes Not Bombs, 59 Amory Street in Roxbury. Ride begins promptly at 1:30. Dress appropriately for the weather and please have your bike in good riding condition. Helmets are required. BNB can loan you a helmet for the ride if you need one. Please call if you want lunch provided. See you there. Peace.
