Arlington Bicycle Tour Sunday, May 21

In local celebration of National Bike Month, the Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee (ABAC) is hosting its 3rd annual BIKE-Arlington Tour this Sunday morning, May 21. The easy-going, family-friendly tour will feature a community bicycle ride along quiet roadways and bikeways throughout town. Along our way, we9ll stop at open spaces and conservation land at Spy Pond, the Mystic River, Alewife Brook, Meadowbrook Park, Cooke's Hollow (Mill Brook), and the Minuteman Bikeway. Members of the Arlington Police Bicycle Unit will help escort the tour, and Trader Joe9s will provide complimentary refreshments at the end of the tour, which is about 9-miles round-trip.

The BIKE-Arlington Tour is free of charge, and all riders will be responsible for their own safety. Helmets are required. Bring your well-maintained bicycle, some water, and your community spirit. Steady rain will cancel the event. The tour meets on Sunday, May 21, 9:30 a.m. at the Spy Pond playground parking lot (off Pond Lane). Please arrive early so we can start on time.
