Boston Bike Week 1997

If you have questions about commuting by bicycle, please call the ride leader for advice. Also, check out our Bike Buddy page.

Most rides are offered in the morning; you can talk to the ride leader about meeting for a return commute.

All rides leave promptly; please plan to arrive early. Helmets are REQUIRED.

Monday, Friday Adams Park, Roslindale (Washington St.), 8:00 am 7-10 miles, 10-15 mph Route: South St. to Walter St., entering the Arboretum at Bussey St., riding the Arboretum road to the main entrance, following Bike Route 1 to Jamaica Pond, the Jamaicaway Bikepath to Route 9, Brookline Ave to Aspinwall to Netherlands to Muddy River Bikepath to Park Drive to the B.U. Wednesday Adams Park, Roslindale (Washington St.), 7:45 am To the Hosteling International-American Youth Hostels Eastern New England Council office for free breakfast! 6 miles, 10 mph Route: South St. to Walter St., entering the Arboretum at Bussey St., riding the Arboretum road to the main entrance, following Bike Route 1 to Jamaica Pond, the Jamaicaway Bikepath to Route 9, Brookline Ave to Aspinwall to Kent, then back streets to the HI-ENEC office on Comm. Route: Washington St. to Forest Hills, South St. past the Monument in Jamaica Plain at about 7:30 to Seaverns St. (sp?), to the Southwest Corridor. We will follow the bikepath to Ruggles MBTA station, then Columbus Ave to Park Square, Stuart St. to Washington, which we will follow to Government Center.
