Racer Nicole Freedman of Team Basis gave the keynote address, asking for cooperation between all types of cyclists.

State Representative Timothy Toomey, Jr. welcomed MassBike to his district and announced, as co-chair of the Joint Public Safety Committee, that MassBike's Bicyclists Bill of Rights and Responsibilities has been favorably reported out of his committee.

Colin Durrant represented Senator Jarret Barrios, co-chair of the Joint Public Safety Committee.

MassHighway Commissioner John Cogliano noted that bikes will be included in all road designs and that $60 million in mixed use path construction is underway.

The Influence Pedaler Award

The Cambridge Police Department Bicycle Patrol received the other Influence Pedaler Award for their work in improving the safety of cyclists and enforcing bike laws.

Nora Kelly won the grand prize, a fixed gear bike.
